What are some free online games like sims, for kids?

Neopets has pets you can play with. maybe Maplestory (not sure, I haven’t played it). creatures(you raise creatures and care for them… Albatross is a golf game where you can alter your character.
depending on how old your children are
Second Life has a safe area for teens (13-17 year olds) MSN has a game area for kids.
There are Many more.
